About SBI Foundation

SBI Foundation, the CSR arm of the State Bank of India, was established in 2015 as a Section VIII company to implement SBI’s social initiatives in a focused manner. It works to enhance the socio-economic well-being of underprivileged communities and promote inclusive development across India.

Since its inception, the Foundation has supported 698 projects with a budget of β‚Ή1,428 crore, benefiting over 20 million people across all states and union territories. Its key focus areas include education, healthcare, livelihood and skill development, rural development, women’s empowerment, empowerment of PwDs, sports, environment, and research & innovation.

About the Scholarship

The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025–26, one of India’s largest scholarship programs, is an initiative of the SBI Foundation. The program aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families across India, helping them continue their education. It is open to students from Classes 9 to 12, as well as those pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the top 300 NIRF-ranked universities/colleges and IITs, or MBA/PGDM programs at IIMs. In addition, students planning to study abroad are also eligible to apply. Selected candidates can receive scholarships of up to INR 20 lakh to support their educational pursuits.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open for Indian nationals.
  • Applicants must be studying in Classes 9 to 12 in the current academic year.
  • Applicants must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
  • The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 3,00,000.
  • There is a provision of 10% relaxation for students belonging to SC/ST (Percentage of marks – 67.50%, CGPA – 6.30).
  • 50% of slots are reserved for females.
  • 50% reserved for SC/ST (25% SC, 25% ST).
  • Scholarship amount up to β‚Ή 15,000

UG

  • Applicants should be Indian nationals.
  • Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate course (any year) from a premier university/college in India, as listed in the Top 300 Institutes according to the latest NIRF rankings.
  • Students must have secured 7 CGPA/75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
  • The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000.
  • Premier Academic Institutions featured in the top 300 NIRF lists for universities, colleges or Academic Institutions with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) rating A and above accreditations will be considered.
  • There is a provision of 10% relaxation for students belonging to SC/ST (Percentage of marks – 67.50%, CGPA – 6.30).
  • 50% of slots are reserved for females.
  • 50% reserved for SC/ST (25% SC, 25% ST).
  • Scholarship amount up to β‚Ή 75,000

PG

  • Applicants should be Indian nationals.
  • Applicants must be pursuing a postgraduate course (any year) from a premier university/college in India, as listed in the Top 300 Institutes according to the latest NIRF rankings.
  • Applicants must have secured 7 CGPA/75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
  • The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000.
  • Premier Academic Institutions featured in the top 300 NIRF lists for universities, colleges or Academic Institutions with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) rating A and above accreditations will be considered.
  • There is a provision of 10% relaxation for students belonging to SC/ST (Percentage of marks – 67.50%, CGPA – 6.30).
  • 50% of slots are reserved for females.
  • 50% reserved for SC/ST (25% SC, 25% ST).
  • Scholarship amount up to β‚Ή 2,50,000

Medical

  • Students from Pan India. Students pursuing medical degrees (any year) from a premier university/college in India, as listed in the Top 300 Institutes according to the latest NIRF rankings.
  • Applicants must have secured 7 CGPA/75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
  • The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000.
  • There is a provision of 10% relaxation for students belonging to SC/ST (Percentage of marks – 67.50%, CGPA – 6.30).
  • 50% of slots are reserved for females.
  • 50% reserved for SC/ST (25% SC, 25% ST).
  • Scholarship amount up to β‚Ή 4,50,000

IIT

  • Applicants should be Indian nationals.
  • Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate course (any year) from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in India.
  • Students must have secured 7 CGPA/75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
  • The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000.
  • There is a provision of 10% relaxation for students belonging to SC/ST (Percentage of marks – 67.50%, CGPA – 6.30).
  • 50% of slots are reserved for females.
  • 50% reserved for SC/ST (25% SC, 25% ST).
  • Scholarship amount up to β‚Ή 2,00,000

IIM

  • Applicants should be Indian nationals.
  • Applicants must be pursuing MBA/PGDM courses (any year) from an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in India.
  • Students must have secured 7 CGPA/75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
  • The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000.
  • There is a provision of 10% relaxation for students belonging to SC/ST (Percentage of marks – 67.50%, CGPA – 6.30).
  • 50% of slots are reserved for females.
  • 50% reserved for SC/ST (25% SC, 25% ST).
  • Scholarship amount up to β‚Ή 5,00,000

Overseas

  • Applicants must be Indian nationals.
  • Applicants must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
  • Open to students pursuing Postgraduate and above courses from premier institutions abroad (Institutes included in the Top 200 in QS/THE World University Rankings for 2024-25)
  • Students must have secured 7 CGPA/75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
  • Students with a gross annual family income of up to INR 6,00,000 are eligible to apply.
  • There is a provision of 10% relaxation for students belonging to SC/ST (Percentage of marks – 67.50%, CGPA – 6.30).
  • 50% of slots are reserved for females.
  • 50% reserved for SC/ST (25% SC, 25% ST).
  • Scholarship amount up to β‚Ή 20,00,000
