About Theological University Kampen
Theological University of the Reformed Churches is an academic theological seminary in the Dutch city of Kampen. It was founded on 6 December 1854 in Kampen.
The university primarily caters to ministerial education. To be an ordained minister in the Reformed Churches a six-year training including a Bachelor of Theology (BA) and Master of Divinity (MA) are required. Next to these programs, the seminary offers one-year master’s programmes (MA) in several disciplines.
Most MA programmes can be taken in English. Since 2015 the university also offered a full English programme: Master of Intercultural Reformed Theology, which attracts International and Dutch students.
Especially the MA in 21st Century Mission under the supervision of Stefan Paas is a popular programme. Academic research is carried out by the faculty, several post-doctoral fellows, and Ph.D. students. The doctoral course offered by the university is typically a four-year program.
About the NL Scholarship
The NL Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.
The scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelorβs or masterβs in The Netherlands. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Scholarship Amount
The scholarship amounts to β¬5,000 (approx. Rs. 4.5L). You will receive this in the first year of your studies.
Application Criteria
- Your nationality is non-EEA.
- You are applying for a full-time bachelorβs or masterβs at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.
- You meet the specific requirements of the Theologische Universiteit Kampen.
- You have never before studied at an education institution in the Netherlands.
How to Apply?
You can apply for the NL Scholarship at the Theologische Universiteit Kampen by filling in the request form and sending it to their international office at international[at]tukampen[dot]nl. You can apply for the scholarship before May 1, 2024. You need to apply for a Bachelorβs or Master’s at one of these institutions to be considered for the Scholarship. The institution will select those who will be granted the scholarship and communicate directly with you.
