About Ball State University

Ball State University is a public research university in Muncie, Indiana. It has two satellite facilities in Fishers and Indianapolis.

Ball State is classified among “R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity”. The university is composed of seven academic colleges. As of Fall 2020, total enrollment was 21,597 students, including 15,205 undergraduates and 5,817 postgraduates. The university offers about 120 undergraduate majors and 130 minor areas of study and more than 100 master’s, doctoral, certificate, and specialist degrees.

There are more than 400 student organizations and clubs on campus, including 31 fraternities and sororities. Ball State athletic teams compete in Division I of the NCAA and are known as the Ball State Cardinals. The university is a member of the Mid-American Conference and the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. In the fall of 2020, the university formed a varsity esports team and joined the Esports Collegiate Conference.

About the Global Honors Scholarship

  • International Undergraduate students can receive $16,000 a year for a four-year total of $64,000 (Rs. 53L+).
  • Ball State Global Honors Scholarship students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.
  • If the GPA drops below 2.5 at the end of the spring semester of any academic year, the scholarship will not be renewed.
  • However, if the cumulative GPA is raised to a 2.5 at the end of the fall or summer semester, the award can be reinstated upon request.
  • The award is awarded for a maximum of eight semesters of undergraduate study.
  • Recipients must enroll in on-campus classes as full-time, degree-seeking students.

Other Important Information

  • Ball State offers scholarships that outstanding international high school and transfer students can explore.
  • Selected outstanding high school seniors or undergraduate transfer students are awarded a scholarship.
  • Scholarships are open to all international undergraduate students, and they pay for institutional charges for non-resident tuition.
  • All financial aid received, when combined with other scholarships, cannot exceed the total cost of attendance.
  • Scholarships may not be used for any institutional charges for study in the Intensive English Institute or for a combination of study in the Intensive English Institute and credit bearing classes.
  • Recipients must meet Ball State’s English proficiency requirements before the award will pay charges for non-resident tuition.
