About Ball State University
Ball State University is a public research university in Muncie, Indiana. It has two satellite facilities in Fishers and Indianapolis.
Ball State is classified among “R2: Doctoral Universities β High research activity”. The university is composed of seven academic colleges. As of Fall 2020, total enrollment was 21,597 students, including 15,205 undergraduates and 5,817 postgraduates. The university offers about 120 undergraduate majors and 130 minor areas of study and more than 100 master’s, doctoral, certificate, and specialist degrees.
There are more than 400 student organizations and clubs on campus, including 31 fraternities and sororities. Ball State athletic teams compete in Division I of the NCAA and are known as the Ball State Cardinals. The university is a member of the Mid-American Conference and the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. In the fall of 2020, the university formed a varsity esports team and joined the Esports Collegiate Conference.
About the Emens Leadership Scholarship
If you are a high school senior, who has applied and been admitted to Ball State University, who has actively participated in academic and extracurricular activities and who has been a leader in your high school and local community, you will want to apply for this award. The Emens Leadership Scholarship is open to both in-state and out-of-state students.Β
The Emens Leadership Scholars form a lively community of leaders on campus. They meet as a group at least twice a year, and they support and mentor each other in their wide-ranging endeavours across campus both in and out of the classroom.
You must have applied and been admitted to Ball State University to apply for the Emens Leadership Scholarship. You must receive and submit a completed application by November 20 to be considered for this award.
How to Apply?
Please check your Ball State portal for an application notification. They send out applications to selected admitted students beginning in early October. Any admitted student is welcome to request application materials; send a request to emensscholar[at]bsu[dot]edu. You must submit your completed application via your student portal by the deadline of November 20.
The Emens Leadership Scholarship Amount
Fifteen new Emens Leadership Scholarships are currently awarded each year to incoming freshmen. The Scholarship is currently valued at $4650 per academic year (approximately Rs. 11.5L in total for 3 academic years), and approximately one-half the amount of in-state tuition.Β Most Emens Leadership Scholars also receive a Presidential Scholarship, Ball State Scholar, or a similar award that, when combined with the Emens award, approximates a full in-state tuition award.Β The Emens awards are for eight semesters and are subject to an annual review of the student’s leadership and academic progress.Β
