About Ball State University
Ball State University is a public research university in Muncie, Indiana. It has two satellite facilities in Fishers and Indianapolis.
Ball State is classified among “R2: Doctoral Universities β High research activity”. The university is composed of seven academic colleges. As of Fall 2020, total enrollment was 21,597 students, including 15,205 undergraduates and 5,817 postgraduates. The university offers about 120 undergraduate majors and 130 minor areas of study and more than 100 master’s, doctoral, certificate, and specialist degrees.
There are more than 400 student organizations and clubs on campus, including 31 fraternities and sororities. Ball State athletic teams compete in Division I of the NCAA and are known as the Ball State Cardinals. The university is a member of the Mid-American Conference and the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. In the fall of 2020, the university formed a varsity esports team and joined the Esports Collegiate Conference.
About the 1-Year Art Scholarships by Ball State University
- The School of Art awards a number of one-year scholarships to incoming freshmen.
- The Outstanding Freshman Scholarships are one-year (non-renewable) amounting to a maximum of $1,000 (Rs. 83k). Half of each scholarship will be applied per semester to educational expenses at the university in a given academic year.
- The School of Art provides several scholarships to its own students to help cover your tuition at Ball State. We offer awards to both incoming freshmen as well as upperclassmen, largely based on merits such as your portfolio of artwork, academic ability, and leadership potential.
- The School of Art awards scholarships to incoming freshmen art majors in recognition of outstanding talent, leadership, and academic achievement.
- A committee selects award recipients based on their digital portfolio.
How to Apply?
Scholarship materials must be submitted by February 1, 2024 to receive full consideration. Submit scholarship materials here.
10-15 works of art must be included. Refer to scholarship portfolio guidelines on how to submit materials.
