About MyGov
MyGov is a citizen engagement platform launched by the Government of India on July 26, 2014 to promote the active participation of Indian citizens in their country’s governance and development. It is aimed at creating a common platform for Indian citizens to “crowdsource governance ideas from citizens”.
About the Slogan Contest
World Wetlands Day is observed every year on February 2nd all over the world. It is celebrated to raise global awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and our planet. This day also marks the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on February 2, 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar. This yearβs theme of World Wetlands Day is βWetlands and human well-beingβ, which highlights the importance of conservation and sustainable use of wetlands for human well-being.
Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate ChangeΒ in collaboration withΒ MyGovΒ is organizingΒ the Wetlands and Human Well-Being Slogan Contest. This activity would create awareness about and encourage the citizens of the country, especially the students about the conservation of wetlands.Β
Participants need to provide a slogan of a maximum of 30 words on wetlands in Hindi/English.
Gratification
Certificates and the following prizes:
- Prize for the winner: Rs. 10,000/-
- Second prize for runner-up: Rs. 5,000/-
- Third prize for second runner-up: Rs. 3,000/-
- Consolation Prizes (2): Rs. 1,000/- each
Terms and Conditions
- The competition is open to all Indian citizens.
- Entries must be original work by the creators.
- Participants are required to provide their name, email address, telephone number, and postal
address. By submitting their contact details, the participants will be giving consent to use these
details for the contest. - Entry once submitted cannot be withdrawn.
- One participant can submit only one entry. Multiple entries from the same entrant will not be
considered and will be discarded. - The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and MyGov will not be responsible for
entries that are lost/ late/ incomplete or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any
other error beyond the organizerβs reasonable control. Please note proof of submission of the
entry is not proof of receipt of the same. - If a winner is not contactable within three working days from the announcement of results, he or
she will forfeit the prize and another winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries in
accordance with the above process until a winner is selected and can be contacted. - In the event of unforeseen circumstances, organizers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the
contest at any time. To avoid doubt, this includes the right to amend these terms and conditions. - By entering the contest an entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and MyGov reserve all rights to disqualify
or refuse participation to any participant if they deem participation or association of any
participant which is detrimental to the contest or the Organizers or partners of the competition.
The registrations shall be void if the information received by the Organizers is illegible, incomplete,
damaged, false, or erroneous. - The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change’s decision on the contest shall be final
and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the same. - The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change will disburse the winning amount/
rewards to the selected winner(s). - The laws of the Indian Judiciary shall govern these Terms and Conditions.
