About Nagrika
Nagrika is a think-tank enabling citizens in small and mid-sized cities. They create knowledge that shapes unique, authentic and resilient cities. Through this knowledge, they mainstream the voice of citizens in decision making.
Contest Details
We all may have heard the statement βWhen we were young, the city wasβ¦β
This year, Nagrika wants you to collaborate and co-create ideas about the future of our cities from some such memories of the past and hopes for future!
They are are asking youth to have conversations with senior citizens about the kind of city the seniors want to leave for the next generation and their hopes and dreams for the future of our cities. They want to hear about what your city means to you and them; the things that they cherished; the things that they would want you to have; and anything else you want to tell us about your cities.
Eligibility
- 18 Years to 30 Years old.
- Resident of India.
Guidelines
- Entries will be accepted both in English and Hindi.
- The entry can be retrospective (based on the kind of city they experienced in past) or futuristic (the way they imagine their city in future for the next generation) or mix of both.
- Word Count for Prose: (includes essay, letter, biography & story) must be at least 1000 words and maximum 3000 words.
- Word Count for Poem: must be at least 20 lines or 200 words.
Prizes
- 1st Prize: INR 15000
- 2nd Prize: INR 10000
- 3rd Prize: INR 5000
All winners will have their entries published on the Nagrika Website, Promoted across our social media channels, Nagrika Goodies and a Certificate of excellence.
