About Goonj
Goonj is a Non-Profit Organisation headquartered in Delhi, India which undertakes disaster relief, humanitarian aid and community development in parts of 23 states across India.
Goonj aims to build an equitable relationship of strength, sustenance, and dignity between the cities and villages, using under-utilized material as a tool to trigger development with dignity. We envision growing as an idea across regions, economies, and countries using urban surplus material as a tool to address basic but neglected issues of the financially and materially poor, involving them in designing and implementing their own solutions, with their own efforts, knowledge, and dignity, and material as a reward for their participation.
Internship Details

If you are open-minded, enthusiastic and are looking to experiment while having a lot of fun, this is the place for you. At Goonj, they welcome your new ideas and suggestions with open arms and try to incorporate them in our work. Some days may be mundane or repetitive but they will always be meaningful. Your activity, however monotonous, adds value to what we do.
Internships at Goonj are unpaid.
Internship Categories
- For School: Community Warriors.
- For College: Social Internship.
Location of Internship
Internship opportunities are offered at Goonj’s Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Dehradun, Kolkata, Kochi, Patna, Rishikesh and Mumbai offices.
Duration
For Community Warriors, there are two tracks: first for 3 weeks and the second for 6 weeks.
For Social Internship, minimum duration is 1 Month.
Working Hour
You will be working in close co-ordination with Team Goonj during the internships. For Community warriors a total of 15 hours per week engagement is required. Those pursuing undergraduate or post graduate degrees can apply for the Social internship.
