Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for the 2023 International Student Essay Competition by Trust for Sustainable Living (TSL).

About the TSL International Competitions for Students

TSL want to hear students’ own views on how they feel they can be better supported to succeed in the green jobs market. Students are invited to approach the topic however they wish. Students are strongly encouraged to include their own personal views, perspectives and experiences to help bring their thoughts and visions alive.

Eligibility

The age categories along with length of essay is as follows:

  • Primary students (ages 7-11): 400 words
  • Secondary and College students (ages 12-18): 600 words

Theme

Each student is invited to submit one essay in English, entitled: β€œHow can young people be better supported to thrive in green jobs?”

Prizes

One overall Grand Prize trophy winner will receive a free international trip to a TSL Summit, including Β£500 spending money. The Top 10 essay medallists will receive eco-friendly e-medals with redeemable gift tokens. All participating Teacher Champions, Essay Finalists & Honourable Mentions, and International Debate participants, will receive personalised e-certificates.
