About Shady Grove Literary
Shady Grove Literary has readers on both coasts of the United States, but its home is in Thousand Oaks, California. They wish to read your work and look forward to giving their winners a place to showcase their talents.
Submission Guidelines and How to Submit?
- 300 words maximum.
- One submission per competition.
- Any style, genre, tone, etc of flash fiction.
- Previously unpublished work only (simultaneous submissions are okay, but please let them know if your work is selected elsewhere).
- Email your entry to shadygroveliterary[at]gmail[dot]com with ‘flash fiction competition’ as your subject line.
- Paste the body of your entry at the top of your email with a title (if you have one). They will not open attachments and stories that are submitted as attachments will not be considered.
- Include your name, contact, and a brief bio below the story.
- Submissions are free and will be read, but please do not inquire about submitted work.
Prizes
- 1st place: $100 (Rs. 8k+).
- 2nd and 3rd places: Publication online
- Honourable mentions with a list of the authors’ names and their titles.
