1. AICTE- National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (AICTE-NITTT)
In order to train the Inductee Teachers in AICTE approved / recognised institutions, National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (for Inductee Teachers) has been launched. It imparts training to the Inductee Teachers in three phases.
The first phase of the training programme for the Inductee Teachers shall be conducted in Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) mode for eight modules on the SWAYAM platform through the NITTT portal www.nittt.ac.in followed by one-month industrial internship (second phase) and then mentor based training (third phase).
2. AICTE-Quality Improvement Program
The Government of India launched the Quality Improvement Programme in the year 1970. One of the main objectives of the programme is to upgrade the expertise and capabilities of the faculty members of the degree level institutions in the country.

The programme is implemented and monitored by All India Council for Technical Education. In βQuality Improvement Programmeβ only sponsored teachers are eligible for admission to both Masterβs & Doctoral Degree Programme with the aim to enable the teachers to acquire Masterβs & Doctoral degrees and imbibe in them a culture of research and better teaching educational capabilities by exposing them to the environment of the institutes of study.
3. AICTE-INAE- Distinguished Visiting Professorship Scheme
AICTE and INAE distinguished visiting Professor scheme envisages promotion of industry-institute interaction.
The Industry Experts should have a minimum graduate degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification. The Age of a Distinguished Visiting Professor shall be in the range of 40 to 75 years*. The applicant must have minimum TEN yearsβ experience in Industry; and the individual must have distinguished work experience, as evidenced by development of products, technology, processes, patents, publications, awards etc.
4. AICTE β ISTE Orientation/ Refresher Programme
The objective is to conduct AICTE-ISTE Induction/ Refresher Programmes for the teaching faculty working in technical institutions. Total 100 Refresher programme & 50 Orientation programme with the funding of Rs. 300000 per programme.
AICTE approved institutions/University departments imparting technical education are entitled Coordinator must be a full time regular faculty with adequate experience in teaching and research with publications. Maximum 2 proposals per institute would be considered in a year. Preferably one self-financing program should have been arranged in last 12 months by the college. ISTE will charge Rs.1500/- per proposal as processing fee. The proposals will be accepted only if institute pays the processing fee through RTGS/NEFT.
5. AICTE-Technical Book Writing & Translation
To promote use of ‘Scheduled Regional Language’ in Technical Education for creating knowledge base in local language and to encourage creation of treasure of latest technical knowledge incorporating the newest developments by grant of financial support to the distinguished faculty/writers/translators.
The Faculty- retired or working in AICTE approved institutions (Degree/ Diploma/ Pharmacy/ Management/ Architecture etc.) or Researchers of such institutions. The proposed author(s) to be of repute with command over the subject and the language chosen for writing. The proposed author(s) should have a proven academic record of brilliance. The proposed author(s) should have been recognized in the similar nature work earlier.
6. AICTE-Distinguished Professionals Scheme
The Distinguished Professional scheme (DPS) intends to utilize the expertise of highly qualified and eminent Professionals by creating a pool of experts from Industry, Institutes, Research Labs and Senior civil service officers in their domain for motivating and inspiring the students/faculty members of AICTE approved institutes.
The applicants must be an individual who have made unparalleled, exceptional Technical/Professional contribution to the society in their respective field/discipline. The applicants should be an acknowledged leader (Professionals) in that particular field of specialization having actively engaged in research, technology development and innovation.
7. AICTE-Leadership in Teaching Excellence (AICTE-LITE)
AICTEβs Leadership in Teaching Excellence (LITE) is a national programme aims to bring modern software engineering knowledge through proven online teaching-learning methods to 100,000 teachers and 2.4 Crore students in India.
The Minor degree programme is divided into three courses: 1. Web Development 101 – Getting Started with Javascript 2. Web Development 201 – Server-side programming with Ruby on Rails 3. Web Development 301 – Typed Functional programming
