Entries are invited for a Photography Competition as part of the 4th edition of the Youth Climate Conclave.
About The Competition
In order to develop a network of young talent that would pioneer transformative solutions to counter the impacts of climate change, the 4th edition of βYouth Climate Conclaveβ (YCC) is being organized. This year, YCC is being held under the India-EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership (CECP) project, financed by the Partnership Instrument of the EU and managed by the Delegation of the EU to India.
The conclave is organizing a photography competition for children and youth in the age category of 10 β 18 years and 19 β 25 years across India, as part of a series of activities in the run-up to the event.

Competition Guidelines
- Each participant is required to submit one photograph on the theme: #SmartChoices for a Sustainable Future
- Entries can be submitted in the following age categories:
- 10 β 18 years
- 19 β 25 years
- Only one entry per participant will be accepted. Additionally, for schools and colleges, there is no limit to number of students who can apply.
- Each photograph should be supported by a catchy tagline of not more than 15 words. The entry without a title, description and details mentioned above will be rejected.
- The following criteria would be used to judge the entries:
- Resolution
- Clarity of the photograph
- Meaningful and impactful
- Photographs should capture to capture the essence of positive climate actions in the country – at individual, local, regional or national level.
- Applicant should submit an original photograph that conveys his / her understanding of the theme. The photograph should convey hopeful and meaningful messages. It should devoid of doomsday prophecies.
- Only high resolution (2 MB or more) original photograph will be accepted. The photograph should be necessarily in JPG format with at least 200 dpi at 2,000 pixels.
Awards and Prizes
Winners will receive e- certificates, a chance to attend the Youth Climate Conclave- 4th Edition and a felicitation during the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2023. Besides these, all shortlisted photographs will be published on social media platforms, and the 12 best photographs will be selected and published in the YCC 2023 calendar. Additionally, a display of the top 12 photos from both categories will be held via an Exhibition.
