About the University

Azim Premji University is a private university, located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. It was founded in 2010 and is named after Azim Premji, an Indian businessman and philanthropist who was chairman of Wipro Limited.

Course Details

The importance of providing quality care and education in the early years of childhood is widely recognised. Global research indicates 80% brain development occurs in the first 8 years of life. The National Education Policy 2020 followed by the National Curriculum Framework-Foundational Stage 2022, provided the much-needed impetus and direction to this critical goal for India. As they work towards the fulfilment of the goal, the need to build practices and programmes that are contextually relevant, innovative and build strong foundations for young children’s learning is becoming increasingly clear. To achieve this end, the country needs to build a cadre of education professionals who possess the capabilities to contribute towards this understanding. 

The course will begin from July, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university in India or abroad.
  • They encourage candidates with work experience to apply.
  • You can apply if you are an undergraduate student appearing for your final year examinations and will complete your graduation before the commencement of the academic programme. The offer of provisional admission is valid only on successful completion of graduation.
