About ABEA
Aditya Birla Education Academy (ABEA) aims to provide a platform for educators to focus on upskilling themselves through relevant and uniquely structured courses. The teacher training courses cover a wide range of topics providing educators with the opportunity to upgrade their content knowledge, pedagogical skills, adopt new teaching learning styles and become a part of a larger community of lifelong learners.
Course Details
In collaboration with ABEA, Mister Steve Training and Consultancy offers you a series of eight 2-hour leadership development workshops with the aim of developing your skills as a school leader in India.
Each of the workshops will be live and there will be opportunities for Q&A during each one. The timing of each of the eight modules is spread across a period of months to allow school leaders the opportunity to apply learning from each module in schools.
On successful participation in all five workshops, participants will be asked to submit a 1,500 word evaluation project showing how they have used the workshops to develop leadership in their schools. As well as receiving constructive feedback on their evaluation report, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion from ABEA as a contribution towards professional development portfolios.
Each 2-hour workshop will focus on one key area of quality leadership:
- Workshop 1: What makes an excellent school leader.
- Workshop 2: Leading learning and teaching for engagement and motivation.
- Workshop 3: The gentle leader.
- Workshop 4: Leading our teams.
- Workshop 5: Data tips and tricks.
- Workshop 6: Effective resource management.
- Workshop7: Managing behaviour.
- Workshop 8: Distributed leadership and completing evidence portfolios.
Course Leader
Steve Burnage FCCT FRSA M.Ed B.Mus NPQH is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in the UK. He is an experienced international consultant and trainer who has worked extensively with schools in India and worldwide.
