The Film and Television Institute of India is a film institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India and aided by the Central Government of India. It is situated on the premises of the erstwhile Prabhat Film Company in Pune.

Workshop Details

Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune under its β€˜Centre For Open Learning (CFOL)’ program, announces on-campus Short Courses exclusively for children – Basic Acting Workshop for Children in Pune, Maharashtra.

The workshop has been designed to open up the creative aspects in terms of body, voice and craft keeping in mind the various aspects of the audio visual medium.

Using crafted exercises, theater games, activities and assignments the participants creative faculties would be shaped to be used in a performance and to develop confidence in common life situations also, improvisations and role play would help them develop personality traits that would have many practical applications.

Dates

29 October – 08 November 2024 (including Saturdays & Sundays, 1stΒ November 2024 will be aΒ  holiday).

Timings

Β 09.30 am to 04.30 pm (lunch break from 12.30 pm to 01.30 pm).

Age of Participants

  • 08 years completed to 12 years running as on 01stΒ October 2024 – Morning batch.
  • 13 completed to 17 years running as on 01stΒ October 2024 – Afternoon batch.

Timings

  • 09.30 am – 12.30 pm – Morning batchΒ and
  • 01.30 to 4.30 pm – Afternoon batch.

No. of Participants

Up to 25 in Morning batch & Up to 25 in Afternoon batch. Course will not be conducted if there are less than 20 participants per batch.

Educational Qualification

03rdΒ std. pass. In exceptional cases, 02ndΒ std. may be considered.

Nationality

Indian.

Medium of Instructions

The medium of instruction would be English and Hindi. Participants are expected to have adequate knowledge of English and/ or Hindi as regards to reading, writing & speaking.

Β FTII’s Vijay Tendulkar Writers’ Academy campus, V Shantaram Film City (FTII Extended Campus), near Pune Doordarshan Kendra, opposite back gate of MIT WPU University, Rambaug Colony, Kothrud, Pune.
