About Wildlife Week
Wildlife Week is celebrated nationwide from October 2nd to October 8th each year, aimed at fostering awareness and promoting our rich tradition of respecting all forms of life
while living harmoniously with nature. The theme for World Wildlife Week 2024 is “Wildlife Conservation through Co-Existence.” In accordance with the theme department propose to observe Wildlife Week 2024 by organizing following competitions to inculcates the awareness on conservation of environment &wildlife among the people of Lakshadweep.
Theme
The theme for photography competition will be “Sharing The Shores: Wildlife and People of Lakshadweep”
Prizes
- 1st Prize: Rs. 1800
- 2nd Prize: Rs. 1500
- 3rd Prize: Rs. 1000
Contest Guidelines
- The interested candidates have to register their names on or before 07.10.2024, 5.00 Pm at Department of Environment & Forest of respective islands.
- The photographs should be captured between 01.10.2024 to 07.10.2024.
- Photographs should be submitted on or before 07.10.2024, 3.00 PM to the respective ranges.
- Only one entry is allowed per person.
- Submitted images should be in JPEG format and at least 1,600 pixels wide for a horizontal image or 1,600 pixels tall for a vertical image.
- Basic editing, including color enhancement and cropping of the Photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s).
- Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipulations, the adding and removing of significant elements within the frame is prohibited.
- There must be no logo, watermark or copyright marks on the photo.
- The captured photograph should be submitted to the department of respective islands within the stipulated time.
- The photographs submitted should be the property of Department after submission.
- Any kind of vulgarity could lead to disqualification
