The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with MyGov is inviting submissions for Bharatiya Rhyme and Poem Competition- Baalpan ki Kavita.
About the Competition
Join the βBaalpan ki Kavitaβ Initiative: Restoring Bharatiya Rhymes/Poems for Young Children
As per NEP para 4.11, it is well understood that young children learn and grasp nontrivial concepts more quickly in their home language/mother tongue. Home language is usually the same language as the mother tongue or that which is spoken by local communities.
Currently, preschool and early primary children of the foundational stage in the country grow up learning and singing rhymes/poems in English which are often disconnected from their culture and surroundings.Β The βBaalpan ki KavitaβΒ initiative seeks to restore and popularise traditional and newly composed rhymes/poems in Hindi, regional languages and English. This will enhance play and activity based approach for learning.Β

The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with MyGov, is pleased to invite you to contribute to the βBaalpan ki Kavitaβ initiative, which aims to promote the creation, collection and dissemination of Bharatiya rhymes/poems for early years/foundational stage education.Β We invite individuals to submitΒ written poemsΒ that can become a part of the foundational learning.
