In the present scenario, learners adapt less to conventional methods and prefer more personalized means of learning. In this context, the role of eContent and its forms becomes significant which integrates educational pedagogy to augment the learning experience in the form of video resources for explanation of abstract ideas.

The National Education Policy (NEP) – 2020, in its clause 23.6, emphasizes on the development of quality eContent for all kinds of learners and to empower teaching processes efficiently.

Central Institute of Educational Technology-National Council of Educational Research & Training (CIET- NCERT) is organizing a five hours’ online training series on “Development of eContent: Video Resources” from October 16 to 20, 2023 from 4 to 5 PM to leverage the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators, administrators, and other stakeholders of school education on the need, importance, development and usage of video resources in education.

Schedule

  • Day 1: Monday, October 16, 2023: Video Resources: Policy Perspectives, Concept, Format and Scope.
  • Day 2: Tuesday, October 17, 2023: Process of developing Video Resources.
  • Day 3: Wednesday, October 18, 2023: Script Writing.
  • Day 4: Thursday, October 19, 2023: Recording and Editing of Video Resources.
  • Day 5: Friday, October 20, 2023: Evaluation and Dissemination of Video Resources.

The online training will be live telecast on the official YouTube channel of CBSE and also be simulcast through PM eVidya TV Channel. The participants who appear in the post training quiz, score 70% and above will be issued a certificate of participation.

All Principals/Heads of schools affiliated to CBSE are requested to disseminate the information amongst all teachers and students of their respective schools and encourage them for participation in the programme and take the benefit through it.
