About the Notification

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is proud to join the nationwide celebration of P.N. Panicker National Reading Day on 19th June 2025, marking the beginning of the 30th Reading and Digital Reading Month, which will run until 18th July 2025.

This annual observance honours the enduring legacy of Shri P.N. Panicker, the father of the Library Movement in Kerala and a tireless advocate for literacy and reading. Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the month-long celebration seeks to nurture reading habits among students from an early age β€” promoting cognitive development, language proficiency, and critical thinking.
