About CBSE
The Central Board of Secondary Education is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India.
Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow theΒ NCERTΒ curriculum especially from class 9 to 12.Β
The constitution of the Board was amended in 1952 to give its present name, the Central Board of Secondary Education. The Board was reconstituted on 1 July 1962 so as to make its services available to students and various educational institutions in the entire country.

This is with reference to Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education letter No F.No 5-27/2022-IS.18 dated 05.02.2024 in which it is informed that the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India has launched a dedicated digital platform named PM-DAKSH- DEPwD portal for people with disabilities(PwDs) to enroll in skill development courses, access training and facilitating employment opportunities.
Within the framework of PM DAKSH- DEPwD, two modules ie Divyangjan Kaushal Vikas and Divyanjan Rozgar Setu has been designed for delivering skill training and facilitating employment opportunities for PwDs. The details of the modules to engage persons with Disabilities (PwDs) through PM- DAKSH- DEPwD platform is given in Annexure A so that PwDs across disabilities can gain skill training and explore employment opportunities.
It is requested to all affiliated schools to disseminate this information and encourage PwDs interested in skilling and /or employment to register on PM-DAKSH- DEPwD by clicking on the link.
