About the Notification
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched the first Expression Series for the academic year 2025–26, focusing on the theme “Competency-Focused Education.” This initiative aims to promote reflective and creative thinking among students and encourages them to articulate how learning competencies enhance their personal and academic development.
The Expression Series will be conducted at the school level from 14 July to 28 July 2025. Schools must evaluate the entries and shortlist one entry per class category. These shortlisted entries must be submitted to CBSE between 28 July and 4 August 2025 using the CBSE Expression Series App, available on the Google Play Store.

Submission Process
All submissions must be made using the CBSE Expression Series App. The key steps are:
- Download the app from the Google Play Store and ensure it is updated.
- Log in using the school’s affiliation number and password.
- Select the class category, language, and topic of the entry.
- Upload up to four images of the written work.
- Submit the final entry. Upon successful submission, a participation certificate will be generated.
Entries can be submitted in Hindi or English, and each must be accompanied by a certificate of originality issued by the school principal or teacher in charge.
Evaluation and Recognition
- All valid participants will receive a certificate of participation.
- The top ten entries in each category at the regional level will receive a certificate of merit.
- The top three entries at the national level will be awarded national certificates of merit.
The evaluation will be conducted by committees at the regional and national levels, and the decision of the evaluation committees will be final.
