About the Olympiad

The CREST Reasoning Olympiad (CRO) is an international competitive exam held online for students in classes 1-10. There will be only one level for all the classes. The exam is an objective-type test that the students need to complete in 60 minutes.

The exam consists of two sections:

• Section-1: Logical Reasoning.
• Section-2: Achievers Section.

Important Information About the Olympiad

• There are separate question papers for each and every class.
• The medium of the exam is English.
• CBSE, ICSE/ISC and other State Board syllabi are followed for the set of test papers.
• The online exams are conducted on web-enabled devices like laptops, tablets or desktops with webcams. Mobile devices are not allowed.
• For students of class 1, the parent/teacher can assist the child in guiding them through the questions.
• In case the registration is not through school, the student will have to take the exam from home.

CREST Reasoning Olympiad is considered to be one of the most participated and unique Reasoning Olympiad exams. The main motive for conducting this examination every year is to test the logical and reasoning capabilities of students.

How to Register?

• Registration of students through schools: Students from classes 1-10 are eligible to give CREST Reasoning Olympiad. A prospectus containing the registration forms is sent to all schools registered with CREST Olympiads for the Spell Bee exam. If your school is not registered with us, then please send an email to info[at]crestolympiads[dot]com and we will send you the prospectus soon. It is mandatory for schools to return the registration forms to CREST Olympiads, duly filled in and completed in all respects by the due date.
• Registration for individual participants: If your school does not conduct Spell Bee, then you can register as an individual participant as well. The link for the online registration for individual participants is here.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern for the CREST English Olympiad

The CREST Reasoning Olympiad is a new and unique way of enhancing students’ reasoning capabilities. Reasoning skill is always considered to be a prime factor of importance in most competitive exams. CRO exam examines students’ ability to analyze and make decisions logically. Just like other skills, students can improve and develop their reasoning abilities.

The syllabus for the CREST Reasoning Olympiad is differently set for each class with a slight increase in difficulty. The exam majorly covers areas like patterns, geometric shapes, analogy, spatial understanding, coding-decoding and many more such topics.

As we read above, the CRO question paper is divided into 2 sections. Each section has a different marking scheme. The marking scheme varies for each class.

• For grades 1-4, the total weightage of the paper is 45 marks.
• For grades 5-10, the total weightage of the paper is 60 marks.

Dates & Fee for the CREST English Olympiad

The exam dates for CREST Reasoning Olympiad (CRO) for the Academic Year 2023-24 are as given below:

The exam fee is INR 225 for students studying and enrolling from India. For students studying and residing outside of India, the fee is country-specific.

Olympiad Awards

Exciting awards worth Rs. 4 Cr. are kept for the achievers. There are prizes for 50% of the students with top scores. CREST Olympiads recognize students with Merit Certificates, Trophies, Medals, ‘Honorable mention’ Digital Certificates, etc. for their top performance in the examination.
