About CBSE
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national-level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated with the CBSE. All schools affiliated with CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum, especially those in classes 9 to 12. The current Chairperson of CBSE is Rahul Singh, IAS.
About the Challenge
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued important instructions for the smooth conduct of Round II of the CBSE Science Challenge 2025–26, scheduled to take place on 08th May 2025, from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM.
This round is exclusively for students who have been registered by their schools for Round II, following the successful conduct and evaluation of Round I.

Key Details and Instructions
- Test Schedule:
- Date: 08 May 2025
- Time: 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM
- Duration of Test: 60 minutes
(Includes downloading the question paper, reading instructions, attempting the quiz, and uploading the answers)
- Eligibility:
- Only students registered by their schools after Round I evaluation are eligible.
- Each student must attempt the challenge individually.
- Accessing the Test:
- The test link will be activated on the CBSE Main Website and the CBSE Academics Website on the scheduled date and time.
- Schools must log in using their LoC credentials, as used during the registration process.
- Test Format:
- Total Questions: 40
- Each Question Carries: 1 mark
- No Negative Marking
- Students must submit their test immediately upon completion.
- The portal will close strictly after the allotted time — no grace period will be allowed for uploading the answer sheet.
- Merit Criteria:
- Based on accuracy of responses and shortest time taken to submit the final answer sheet.
System Requirements
To ensure a seamless experience, the following technical setup is mandatory:
- One dedicated computer per student
- High-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps)
- Computer with at least 8 GB RAM
- Latest system configuration for smooth performance
- Compatible with all browsers, but Google Chrome is preferred
