About CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national-level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. About the Tournament

The Subroto Cup Football Tournament is one of India’s most prestigious inter-school football competitions, conducted annually by the Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society under the aegis of the Air Force Sports Control Board. It brings together champion school teams from across all States and Union Territories for a spirited contest of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

In keeping with this proud tradition, CBSE will once again be organizing the CBSE Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2025 to select teams for participation in the main Subroto Cup Football Tournament.

The winners at the national level will earn the prestigious opportunity to represent CBSE at the Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2025, organized by the Air Force Sports Control Board.

Important Details for Schools

  • Registration Fee: Each participating team must pay a registration fee of Rs. 2,000 online at www.subrotocup.in.
  • Accommodation and Meals: Each team member will need to pay Rs. 500 per day to the organizing school for accommodation and meals.
  • Rules and Regulations: All participating schools must strictly follow the official rules of the Subroto Cup, available at Subroto Cup Rules.

For Schools Interested in Organizing

Schools wishing to host the CBSE Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2025 can apply online at CBSE Organizing Schools Application by 01 May 2025 (3 PM).

  • Tournament Dates: Tentatively between 10 May 2025 and 10 June 2025.
  • Sports Grant:
    • Rs. 2 lakh for zonal-level tournaments.
    • Rs. 3 lakh for national-level tournaments.

Schools aiming to participate should:

  • Register their teams at CBSE Registration Portal under the ‘CBSE’ (Institution Category).
  • Send a confirmation email to the CBSE organizing venue schools (list of venues and dates will be shared shortly).
