About the VSSC Teachers’ Workshop

The VSSC Teachers’ Workshop is designed to equip school teachers with advanced insights into various domains of science and space technology, providing them with the tools and knowledge to inspire their students. Guidelines

  • Teacher’s workshop is planned on 7th October, 2024 from 08.30 AM to 05:00 PM at Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) and Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST), Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram.
  • There are only limited seats available for the event. Institutions are requested to complete registration at the earliest and registration is based on first come first serve basis. However final selection of participants for the workshop will be the discretion of the organizing committee based on district/UT level representation.
  • A formal letter of consent from the head of the institution with participating faculty members details shall be uploaded during registration and the same shall be produced while entering ISRO / IIST campuses.
  • Confirmation e-mail from ISRO for participation will be sent to the selected participants by first week of October 2024.
  • It is requested not to change the nomination once submitted. Any change in nomination (due to unavoidable circumstances) after initial registration shall be formally communicated to the ISRO focal points at the earliest but not later than 2nd October.
  • Participants shall carry valid photo ID proof (College ID/ Aadhaar/ Any valid document issued by State/Govt. of India) for verification purpose. Without this valid photo ID proof, participants will not be allowed to enter LPSC / IIST campuses.
  • Travel expenses for the program shall be taken care by the participants. However, ISRO will make transport arrangements for the participants within Trivandrum city (pick- up/drop to the venue from specified boarding points including ISRO Guest House). The exact boarding points and time will be provided in the confirmation mail from ISRO.
  • Accommodation shall be provided for outstation participants at ISRO guest house on prior request based on availability and on first come first serve basis.
  • Due to the security reasons, electronic gadgets including mobile phones, laptops, cameras, pendrives etc. are not permitted inside LPSC & IIST premises. However, mobile phones alone shall be permitted to be deposited at the security point before entering LPSC campus.
