What are some of the good things about the faculty of your School?
The faculty and the teachers in my school are very good. They always behave very friendly with us (the students) and they help us in anything we want, whether it is Academics, Support or anything it may be. The faculty always speak with us like friends and help us go on the right path.
Each subject teacher tries to solve the doubts of the student as fast as possible and also provides us with the right future career options. Even the Extracurricular teachers instead of just being strict with their schedule also teach us moral values and the things we need to apply in each point of life.
They take care of us more than we expect and always keep us on the right track. Even the other faculties try to respond to the student’s or parents’ doubts as soon as possible and help us with our needs each and every time.
What are some of the bad things about the faculty of your School?
Not all faculties, but some faculties hesitate to solve the small or minor problems between the students which may lead to major problems between them. They feel that we are grown-up children and we would solve our issues by ourselves and they leave it as such which may also lead to a friendship break between two students.
Some teachers do take us out of the class for environment-friendly learning but others don’t take us because they feel that this is a time-consuming task and it would delay completing their portions. Some teachers behave with us in almost very friendly and they would take a class for less time and engage with us in other activities by speaking or conducting some interactive session, which during exam time becomes very hard for us because even the teacher rushes with the class and we too need to rush up with our works.
What are some of the good things about the infrastructure of your School?
On the basis of infrastructure, I would say my school is one of the best ones in my city because each place is planned so well that each and every student can enjoy it. My school has almost every sports-related activity center like the swimming pool, archery class, table tennis facilities, etc. so students can choose the activity according to his/her wishes. The classrooms are very well created with digital technology like smartboards, bulletin boards, a library corner, etc. which can make us feel the real beauty of the classrooms.
What are some of the bad things about the infrastructure of your School?
One thing which I feel bad about is the playgrounds, even though my school has 2 playgrounds, these are not enough for the whole school because the students are in my school and each class has at least 5-6 sections so if a class has a P.T period they would not be able to occupy the whole space of the ground and had to play in a smaller region. One thing I feel will be better is to have chairs and benches outside of the classrooms under the trees, so during our lunch breaks we can have our lunch outside instead of being seated in the same class from morning to evening.
What are some of the good things about the student-to-teacher ratio of your School?
The student-to-teacher ratio is always better in my school because the teacher tries to interact with all the students in the classroom. The average ratio of each class is 30:1 (30 students and 1 teacher) so it would be better to ask doubts and even for the teacher to concentrate on the progress of each and every student and help him/her by fulfilling their needs. It is also flexible for the students to get in touch and engage with the teacher to ask their doubts or to solve their problems.
What are some of the bad things about the student-to-teacher ratio of your School?
I think that this ratio should still be reduced to almost 20 – 25 students because some students feel scared to ask their doubts about the teachers but some students always interact with the teacher. Even it is hard for the teacher to get in touch with these students because the duration of a period is very short. So, these students go home with their doubts or problems not cleared. I feel it would be better if our school had a separate doubt session for these students who feel too shy to ask their doubts.
What are some of the great initiatives/amenities offered in your School?
Many initiatives are being done by our school to not only improve us with marks but also with values, skills, and much more. Our school conducts Career Counselling sessions at regular intervals, which help us know many new careers and those that are going to dominate the future and help us choose our career path. Instead of focusing just on education, our school even provides us with various amenities that help us think better and more.
We are provided with all the amenities to showcase our talents, develop our bond with other people, and learn all the life skills and values. My school would always try to send students to all the competitions held to bring out their talents which are hidden inside them. The initiative to provide with utmost amenities to learn is always being implemented in my school for us (students) to have more opportunities.
What are the things you would have liked to change about your School if you could?
I would like to change the classroom environment with one fully developing the future of digital technology and the other with relation to the past and nature. I would like to introduce the concept of a 1:1 doubt-solving classroom so the students who feel too shy to ask the doubts in class can ask now. I would like to plan a schedule for each class for the sports period so that every sports facility provided in the school is utilized properly and even children better in each field of sports can know their talents.
I wish to have a homework period so that the students can learn something new at home and this would give some time for them to have a conversation with their parents as well every student completes his/her homework at the same time so it is easy for the teacher to analyze each and every student completely. Also, I would try to develop the quality of leadership by providing each one with an important post in the school student council on a rotation basis so each student can bring out their leadership qualities. These are the things I wish to change in my school if I could.
