About Chicken Soup for the Soul

Since 1993, Chicken Soup for the Soul has been a socially conscious company that combines storytelling with making the world a better place. They began by being as inclusive as possible in the pages of their books, publishing stories by people of all faiths, nationalities, ethnicities, sexual orientation and gender identities. With these stories, our publisher and Editor-in-Chief Amy Newmark, and her team put out about a dozen new titles every year. See their over 250 books.

In 2008, the founders, Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, sold the company to a new ownership group led by William J. Rouhana and Robert D. Jacobs. Since then all new titles have been published by Chicken Soup for the Soul Publishing, LLC and distributed by Simon & Schuster.

Under the new ownership group, Chicken Soup for the Soul has expanded into other products besides books. The company markets pet foods under the brand Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul and a line of soups, sauces and other prepared foods under the brand Chicken Soup for the Soul.

Submission Guidelines

Stories about miracles, angels, messages from heaven, premonitions, amazing coincidences and other unexplainable but good events!

They are looking for powerful, astounding, stories that will make people say “wow” or give them chills. This book is for everyone, whether religious or non-religious.

Ideas

  • Messages or guidance from those who have passed on 
  • Dreams and premonitions 
  • Miraculous healings or recoveries 
  • Visions and revelations 
  • Unexplained happenings 
  • When something, against all odds, works out 
  • Mysterious helpers 
  • Unexplained happenings 
  • Amazing coincidences 
  • Near misses and astonishing luck 
  • Answered prayers 
  • Stories that make you say, “you’re not going to believe what just happened…” 
  • Stories that have people exclaiming “really?!!!” when they finish reading them

Please note that they are not looking for stories about people who are “angels” because they do nice things. Please do not submit eulogies about a loved one who has died and is now an “angel.”
