Applications are invited for Sports Talent Search Scholarship 2023-24, Assam for School and College Students. The last date of application is September 30, 2023.

Scholarship Details

Applications are hereby invited from the eligible players of Assam for award of Sports Talent Search Scholarship (STSS) for the year 2023-24, as per the following terms & conditions:

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India and a resident of Assam.
  • The applicants shall apply only in one discipline in which he/she had achieved highest performance during the financial year from 01-04-2022 to 31-03-2023 in the National and State Level championships.
  • All members of Winners and Runners-up Teams in case of Team Event and First, Second and Third position holders in Individual Events in the State/National Level championship shall be eligible to apply for the Sports Talent Search Scholarship.
  • Applications of full time employees will not be considered for the award if he/she is working in Government Department/Undertaking/PSUs.

The Sports Talent Search Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of performance in:

  • State Level: Member of Champion & Runners-up teams and those attaining first three positions (1st, 2nd & 3rd) in individual discipline/event in the State level Competitions, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, State Sports Associations (Recognized by Assam Olympic Association), Khelo India, Para Olympic Association, Special Olympic Bharat, Inter College will be eligible for State Sports Scholarship.
  • National Level: Member of Winner and Runners-up teams and those attaining first three positions (1st, 2nd & 3rd) in individual discipline/event in National level Competitions, organized by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), National Sports Federations (NSF)/Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India/Inter University Sports organized by the authorized University Sports Control Board/Khelo India/Para Olympic Association/Special Olympic Bharat, shall be eligible for this Scholarship.

Age

  • Applicant should not be more than 19 years on 31st March, 2023, (in case of School Students).
  • Not more than 25 years on 31st March, 2023, (in case of non Student, College and University Students).
  • Relaxation of 5 years in case of Para Olympic and Special Olympic players.

Scholarship Amount

  • State Level: The amount of the Sports Talent Search Scholarship shall be ₹. 12,000.00 for Gold Medal, ₹. 10,000.00 for Silver Medal and ₹. 8,000.00 for Bronze Medal.
  • National Level: The value of the Sports Talent Search Scholarship shall be ₹. 20,000.00 for Gold Medal, ₹. 18,000.00 for Silver Medal and ₹. 16,000.00 for Bronze Medal.

The Sports Talent Search Scholarship shall be awarded for 1(one) year and one time only.

How to Apply?

The applicants shall collect Applications Form from their respective District Sports Office from 21st September 2023.
