A trail of developments mark the significant changes that took place over the years in shaping up the Board to its present status. U P Board of High School and Intermediate Education was the first Board set up in 1921.
It has under its jurisdiction Rajputana, Central India and Gwalior. In response to the representation made by the Government of United Provinces, the then Government of India suggested to set up a joint Board in 1929 for all the areas which was named as the ‘Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana’. This included Ajmer, Merwara, Central India and Gwalior.Β
About Veer Baal Diwas
Veer Baal Diwas is being organized on 26th December, 2024 as a nationwide celebration dedicated to honouring children as the foundation of Indiaβs future. This year, the theme for Veer Baal Diwas will be βVeertaβ which means acts of courage, kindness, and resilience displayed by children.
The celebrations will include week long activities nationwide, culminating in the main event on 26th December, 2024 which will be graced by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. This event will emphasize nurturing young minds, fostering creativity and inspiring them to contribute to the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
Competitions
List of suggestive activities for schools to celebrate Veer Baal Diwas during 16th to 24th December, 2024 are as follows:
- Competitions by Age Groups: a. Foundational Stage (6-8 years) and Preparatory Stage (8-11 years): i. Painting, essay writing, and storytelling on topics such as: 1. βMy Dream for India” 2. “What Makes Me Happy” b. Middle Stage (11-14 years) and Secondary Stage (14-18 years): i. Essays, poems, debates, and digital presentations on topics such as: 1. “Role of Children in Nation Building” 2. βMy Vision for a Viksit Bharat”
- PMRBP Awardees Outreach: Share inspirational stories of Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) awardees during school assemblies or special sessions.
- Online Competitions: Participation in storytelling session.
