About the Contest
Radio Azim Premji University is hosting a quiz called “Games Play Sports”- a beginner to intermediate level sports quiz at Indian Heritage Academy, Koramangala on Saturday, 29 March 2025, 5 – 8 pm. Quizmaster Kedar would be hosting this quiz based on sports from all over the world but rooted in the sporting history and culture of India. This is an exciting opportunity for young sports fans to have an exhilarating Saturday evening as well as win a quick buck!
So if you are a 16 – 30 year old sports enthusiast, who is not only an avid cricket buff but is equally fixated to the TV during Olympics, Wimbledon or Champions League; who has their favourites but rejoices at the show of good sportsmanship no matter which side it comes from, and truly keeps score of the, sporting records, iconic moments and inspirational stories that have occurred in the world of sports, this quiz is just for you.

The first prize is Rs 12,000 and the second prize is Rs 10,000 along with cool merchandise for the audience! Yes, you heard it right, there is a good prize money.

Rules and Regulations
- Prelims: This word can be unnerving, reminding some of their UPSC prelims ordeal, but trust us, it’s going to be easy peasy for true sports zealots. This would be a written round and only on clearing this, your team will qualify for the main quiz with a shot at the prize money.
- Main Quiz: Six teams of three members each would qualify for the main round. Teams with at least one female member would get a special ‘Sarita devi card’ (Almost Perfect- placeholder for now) which would give you an added advantage to outweigh your opponents.
Schedule
- Registrations for the quiz will start at 4:30pm on 29 March 2025 and end by 5:30pm.
- Prelims will commence at sharp 6pm and the main quiz at 7pm.
- Refreshments would be distributed at the end of the quiz.
