Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, formerly Karunya University, is a private deemed university in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded by D. G. S. Dhinakaran and his son Paul Dhinakaran.

At Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, they are dedicated to raise the next generation of scientists and entrepreneurs to find solutions by developing products in the areas of food, water, health care and energy with the best skills to solve the problems of Humanity.

Through MindSpark, they aim to help students develop essential skills by engaging them in activities that require logical reasoning, strategic planning, and creative solutions. They encourage students to think creatively and apply their knowledge through hands-on tasks, promoting innovative approaches to important challenges. Working together on these tasks also fosters teamwork and collaboration, which are vital for personal and academic growth.

MindSpark-24 aims at engaging school students in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges as outlined by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to Food, Water, Health Care, and Sustainable Energy—which are incidentally the thrust areas of Karunya University.
