About Central Sanskrit University
The Central Sanskrit University has the unique distinction of being the largest and the only multi-campus language university in the world. The Central Sanskrit University also has the privilege of acting as the nodal agency for the implementation of Sanskrit related policies & schemes of the Government of India. In that capacity, the university works in close coordination with the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Olympiad Details
It is submitted that the Sanskrit Olympiad 2023 edition was successfully completed under the joint aegis of Central Sanskrit University and Little Guru. Furthermore, the Gita Olympiad was also conducted successfully and the results of the same are just published. As Sanskrit day is scheduled in the month of August, it is being decided that the Sanskrit Olympiad 2024 edition will be conducted during Sanskrit Week.
Some modifications in syllabus are done. This time, we are proposing the Sanskrit Olympiad even for the common public. The question paper will consist of 50 questions and will only be in Sanskrit, but transliteration will be provided. There will be no negative marking. The syllabus and rules for all the categories is hereby mentioned.
Exam Structure and Eligibility
Students studying/not studying Sanskrit Language in recognized school/college/university are eligible to participate in the Olympiad meant for students. The enthusiastic common public also can participate in the Olympiad meant for them. Syllabus and study material is suitable for the students of CBSE/ICSE/SSC and various other state board curriculums. The syllabus is uploaded in the content section.

Exam Pattern
- Exams will be conducted in Sanskrit language only.
- Transliteration will be added.
- Time period for the exam will be 1 hour. (60 minutes) There will be 50 multiple choice questions.
- For each correct answer, participants will get 2 marks.

- First Award: Rs. 11000
- Second Award: Rs. 7000
- Third Award: Rs. 5000
