Competition Details
The Information Technology Department is delighted to announce an Essay Writing Competition for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir. This contest, themed “Yoga for Self and Society”, celebrates International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2024. Participants are invited to reflect on how yoga contributes to personal growth and societal well-being, showcasing the transformative impact of yoga in our lives. Share your insights and stand a chance to win exciting cash prizes while highlighting the holistic benefits of yoga in the Union Territory.
Eligibility
The contest is open to all, professional and amateur, regardless of age and gender.
Technical Guidelines
- Participants may submit entries in PDF file format.
- Both color and monochrome files will be accepted.
- File size: up to 5 MB of PDF file per work.
- The essays can be written in English/Hindi/Urdu language.
- Entrants must hold all applicable rights to the final document, including any retouching or other image processing.
Winners might be asked to provide higher-resolution PDF documents for publication or display purposes related to the contest.
Submission Guidelines
- Entry is limited to original works that have not formerly been released as any printed, web-based, or other medium (including advertising and stock photos) and for which the entrant holds all applicable rights.
- Works that have won prizes in other contests or that have been submitted to other contests currently underway, including similar works, are not eligible. Even works that are entered in other competitions after submission to this contest will be regarded as having been submitted to other contests currently underway.
- Before submitting a work, the entrant is responsible for taking all steps necessary to protect the right of publicity and other rights of persons depicted in the work, including but not limited to obtaining their permission, to avoid any problems related to the infringement of these rights.
- Entrants are responsible for the resolution of any legal issues arising from their submitted works and agree to pay any costs thereby incurred.
Selection Procedure
- After the evaluation concludes, the winners will be notified via email sent to their registered email address.
- Winners might also be contacted by telephone or other means as the IT Department deems it necessary to confirm any of the information provided, etc.
- IT Department will not accept any liability for any disadvantages that arise for any reason as a result of the inability to receive email or similar problems.
Awards and Prizes
- 1st Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 10,000.
- 2nd Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 8,000.
- 3rd Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 5,000.
