CBSE Notification: Declaration of Supplementary Examination Results of Class 10, 2023: Read Here!

Notice

It is informed that the result of the Supplementary Examination, Class 10 session 2022-2023 was declared at 2.00 PM on the 4th of August 2023 (Friday).

The following are enclosed herewith:

• Detailed press release.
• Statistics of class 10 (supplementary examination).

As per the recommendations made by NEP-2020, CBSE has conducted Supplementary Examinations, 2023 for giving another opportunity to the students to improve their performance in the following categories:

• Students who were placed in the Compartment Category due to the reason that they were unable to secure qualifying marks in 02 subjects out of 05 mandatory subjects.
• The students with six subjects were declared passed by replacing the main subjects from the skilled subject due to the reason that they were unable to secure qualifying marks in 01 main subject.
• The students who offered 07 subjects and declared passed by replacing the language from the language offered at 7th place due to the reason that they were unable to secure qualifying marks in the main language.
• The students who were declared pass but wish to improve their performance in one or two subjects. Earlier students were allowed to improve their performance only next year during the main examination.
• This year for class 10, special provision was given for the candidates who have failed in two subjects (one main and one additional). The candidates who have passed in both or in the main subject have been declared passed. However, those who have failed in the main subject but passed in the additional subject have been placed in the compartment.

Main Highlights

• The supplementary examinations of all the subjects of class 10 were conducted from July 17 to 22, 2023 across the nation and in 26 countries abroad.
• CBSE has declared the result within a fortnight by working in such a manner to avoid inconvenience to the above-mentioned categories of candidates so that the students can continue their studies in class 11.
• The mark sheet cum passing certificate of the regular students will be sent to their schools and for the private candidates, their mark sheet cum passing certificate will be sent to their examination centres in Delhi and in other cities to the addresses given by the candidates in the application forms.
• Results have also been made available in the Digi-Locker of the students.
• The verification of marks process will start on August 7, 2023 (Monday). The circular in this regard is being issued separately.
