About Constitution Day
Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated every year on 26th November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949. The day honors the visionary leadership of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the drafting committee of the Constituent Assembly. This year is particularly special as the country celebrates the 75th year of the Constitutionβs adoption on 26th November 2024, followed by its implementation anniversary on 26th January 2025.
Special Morning Assembly on 26th November 2024
To mark this historic occasion, CBSE-affiliated schools are requested to organize a special Morning Assembly on 26th November 2024. This assembly should focus on creating awareness about the significance of the Constitution and its guiding principles.
To support this initiative, a detailed module on Constitution Day will be available on the CBSE website and the DIKSHA platform. Schools are encouraged to use this material to prepare for the day and conduct meaningful activities.
