CBSE has released a notification for observation of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign in schools and submission of reports by August 17, 2024.

About the Campaign

The Indian National Flag is a symbol of national pride for the entire nation. To further honour the national flag, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was started by the Govt. of India in the year 2022, under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, to encourage the people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark India’s independence. This year, Har Ghar Tiranga will be organized from 13th–15th August 2024.

School Participation Guidelines

As part of this campaign, schools are requested to:

  1. Hoist the National Flag: Ensure the Indian National Flag is hoisted within the school premises during the campaign.
  2. Encourage Student Participation: Motivate students and their families to hoist the Indian National Flag at their homes. They should be encouraged to upload selfies with the Tiranga on the official website www.harghartiranga.com. It’s important to adhere strictly to the Flag Code of India 2022, available at the same website.
  3. Organize Patriotic Activities: Schools should organize activities such as poster-making competitions, quizzes, essay writing contests, and cultural events. These activities aim to deepen students’ understanding of India’s independence and foster a sense of national pride.

Report Submission

Schools are also required to submit a brief report and photographs of the activities conducted during the campaign. The submission should be made by 17th August 2024 through this link.
