CBSE is organising CBSE Special Games for CWSN Students 2024-25 on 23-24 February. The last date of registration is February 12.
About the Event
CBSE organizes sports events at Cluster/ Zonal and National levels for students of its affiliated schools every year in various age-groups for girls and boys separately. For promoting sports in CWSN (children with special needs) students with intellectual developmental disability (IDD), the Board is organizing CBSE Special Games for CWSN Students on a pilot basis for Delhi only, for initial years.
Games & Age Groups
The Special Games will be organized for Athletics for the following Age-Groups and Event-Categories:
- Game: Athletics
- Age Group: 12-15 years, 16-21 years (Age as on 31.12.2025) for Boys and Girls, in following event categories:
- Event Category 1 (Lower Ability):
- Track Events: 25 M Walk, 50 M Flat Run
- Throwing Events: Tennis Ball Throw, Softball Throw
- Jumping Events: Standing Long Jump (SLJ)
- d) Event Category 2 (Higher Ability)
- Track Events: 100 M Flat Run
- Throwing Events: Shotput
- Jumping Events: Running Long Jump (RLJ)
- Relay: 4 x 100 M
Eligibility
The CWSN students studying in CBSE affiliated schools will be eligible for participating in CBSE Special Games for CWSN (children with special needs) students with intellectual developmental disability (IDD) (student with IQ 70 & below). This year, only the students of Delhi will be eligible to participate in these games.
How to Register?
The interested schools who want to sponsor their CWSN students in these games should fill the entries in the following google form.
Venue & Date
- Venue: Bal Bhavan Public School, Mayur Vihar, New Delhi
- Date: 23 February 2025 – 24 February 2025
Deadline
Last date for entries is 12.02.2025. No entry will be accepted after the last date.
Awards
All participants will be given Participation Certificates. The winners will be given Merit Certificates and Medals.
