About CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE.

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the critical role of teachers in shaping the future of education by recognizing the need for Continuous Professional Development (CPD). The NEP-2020 also proposes mandatory 50 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) every year for all teachers and school heads.

In this context, CIET-NCERT organizes a 5 hours’ training series on Cyber Safety and Educational Technology/ ICT in Education for the month of June, 2024 as given below:

The online training will be live telecast on NCERT official YouTube channel and also be simulcast through PM eVidya channel. The participants, who appear in the post training quiz and score 70% and above, will be issued a certificate of participation.

All Principals/Heads of schools affiliated to CBSE are requested to disseminate the information amongst all teachers of their respective schools and encourage them for participation in the programmes as per their need and interest.
