Welcome to theΒ Colour Your Words Season 2Β Writing Contest, where we invite you to dive into the vibrant spectrum of hues that adorn the canvas of this joyous festival. Holi, known as the festival of colors, is a time when communities come together to celebrate the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of spring. But beyond the revelry and merrymaking lies a deeper significance rooted in the symbolism of each colour.

In this contest, they challenge writers to explore the profound meanings behind the colours of Holi and translate them into captivating stories or poignant poetry. Each colour represents a distinct emotion or aspect of life, offering a rich tapestry of inspiration for literary expression.

Themes

Participants can submit stories and poems on the given themes only. We have provided colour and the meaning of the colour. You need to create a story or poem, in a way that reflects the meaning of the colour. For example, if you choose the colour red, you can write a story or poem on love.

  • Red: Symbolizes love, passion, and fertility.
  • Blue: Evokes tranquility, spirituality, and devotion.
  • Green: Represents growth, renewal, and harmony with nature.
  • Yellow: Signifies happiness, optimism, and enlightenment.
  • Pink: Conveys affection, tenderness, and playfulness.
  • Purple: Reflects royalty, luxury, and creativity.
  • Orange: Symbolises energy, enthusiasm, and vibrancy.
  • White: Represents purity, peace, and new beginnings.

Rules

  • In order to win the contest, you need to write on all the 10Β themes.
  • Participants can submit for different categories (story/poem ). However, each set of 10 submissions should be under the same category of either story or poem.
  • Participants should submit their original content. There is no limit to the number of content to be submitted.
  • There is no word limit.
  • There is no participation fee.

  • All participants who submit on all 10 themes will receive SM vouchers worth Rs. 200.

  • Top 5 entries in all languages in the story and poem category will be get free book from StoryMirror.
