The Film and Television Institute of India is a film institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India and aided by the Central Government of India. It is situated on the premises of the erstwhile Prabhat Film Company in Pune. 

Course Details

Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, under its Centre for Open Learning (CFOL) initiative announces Foundation Course in Comic Acting in Pune.

To use the dynamic, vibrant benefits of comedy to improve one’s overall personality development, combat stress, develop better body language, enhance lateral thinking, hone one’s voice and breathing skills and dramatically improve focus and concentration. 

  • Breath-work and Voice-work to build strong vocal range and resonance .
  • Games and Activities to improve focus, concentration and reflexes.
  • Theatre exercises to encourage the process of lateral thinking to understand the various genres of humour.
  • Introducing the participants to the works of great comics, viewing and discussing their styles.
  • Enabling the execution of various styles of comedy like stand-up, crosstalk, wordplay, mime, clowning, abstract and many others.

05-09 August, 2024.

Timings

10 am to 5 pm (Time may vary according to the course requirements).

Total no. of Participants

12 (12 seats already reserved for the applicants of previous batch. Course will be conducted only if min. strength of 20 is reached).

Age

Participants must be 18 years or above in age as on 01st August 2024 (participants born on or before 31st July 2006).

Educational Qualification

HSC (12th pass). In exceptional cases, 10th pass may be considered.

Nationality

Indian.

Venue

FTII’s Vijay Tendulkar Writers’ Academy campus, V Shantaram Film City (FTII Extended Campus), near Pune Doordarshan Kendra, opposite back gate of MIT WPU University, Rambaug Colony, Kothrud, Pune.
