About MyGov

MyGov has been established as Government of India’s Citizen Engagement Platform which collaborates with multiple Government bodies/ Ministries to engage with citizens for policy formulation and seeks the opinion of people on issues/ topics of public interest and welfare.

Since its launch on 26th July 2014, MyGov has more than 30.0 million registered users. Almost all Government Departments leverage MyGov platform for their citizen engagement activities, consultations for policy formulation and also to disseminate information to citizens for various Government schemes and programs. 

About MWCD

The Department of Women & Child Development, GNCTD, has a significant role in promoting the well-being and protection of women and children in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Established as a separate department on 14th November 2007, it was bifurcated from the Department of Social Welfare to exclusively focus on issues related to women and children. In August 2020, the department gained independent cadre controlling authority status, further solidifying its commitment to its mandate.

About the Competition

The Ministry of Women and Child Development, in collaboration with MyGov, announces the “The Spirit of Patriotism”, Poetry Competition to commemorate the valor and sacrifice of young Sahibzadas. This competition aims to inspire today’s youth to embody the same courage and patriotism through their creative words.

“The Spirit of Patriotism”.

Technical Parameters

  • While Hindi and English are the preferred languages for submission, entries can be submitted in any regional language.
  • A poem shouldn’t exceed one A4 size page.
  • The poem can be submitted in either pdf/jpg format.
  • The poem must be an original piece of work, reflecting the theme of patriotism.
  • Entries judged on the combination of overall creativity, originality, and emotional impact may be recognised further.

The contest is open to all Indian citizens.

Rewards

The top 20 winners will receive cash prizes of 1,000 INR each in appreciation of their creativity and efforts.
