About CIET

Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) is a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

Competition Details

An initiative of CIET, NCERT, currently known as All India Children’s Educational eContent Competition, has seen the educational-technological landscape transform over the years, starting from analogous audio and audiovisuals to digital audio and videos and moving to immersive eContent.

The competition has received more and more entries each year, with over 700 entries in the previous edition alone. The competition has also developed in the diversity of content types it recognises. As technologies evolved, the educational content formats also evolved, starting from video & audio to digital educational games to extended reality in education (EduXR) with which the learner can have an immersive experience. Thus one of the competition’s strengths is how it amalgamates the older and newer technologies under its ambit.
