About Organization
The Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P.), was established in 2018 by the Madhya Pradesh National University Act 24 of 2018, with the object of advancing the cause of legal education and achieving excellence as a university for imparting value-based legal education. The university emphasizes learning advocacy skills with professional ethics by providing suitable simulation exercises. The Honβble Chief Justice of MP High Court is the universityβs Chancellor.
CSTIC is a centre for tribal and Indigenous communities. It will assess government policies, identify service gaps, and develop training programs to empower tribal youth and leaders. Ultimately, it seeks to support the centreβs mission to improve the lives of these communities.
CPPG is a Centre that drives the analysis of public policies and makes deductions from them. It is instrumental to the very idea of analysing and discussing bills. The centre, through its team of dedicated members, serves the key of governance, which is Public Policy, its improvements, and analysis.
Bhawartha is a platform for youth parliaments that fosters legal discourse and critical thinking among law students. Its virtual youth parliaments provide a unique opportunity for students to engage in substantive debates on pressing legal issues.
About the Opportunity
Youth Parliament is a platform that empowers young people to engage in democratic processes and develop leadership skills. It simulates the functioning of a real parliament, providing opportunities for youth to debate on various social, political, and economic issues.
By participating in youth parliament, young people can learn about the importance of civic engagement, critical thinking, and effective communication. The delegates have to choose a portfolio and be the parliamentarian they have chosen to be. It is essentially them spiriting the personality they choose!
The National Youth Parliament has three committees and excellent EB and delegation as well.
Theme
The three committees are:
- Rajya Sabha β Discussion on the Waqf Bill 2024.
- AIPPM β Impact of Uniform Civil Code on Tribals
- Lok Sabha β Women Reservation Bill and its Exclusions
