About NCSM

National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), an autonomous society under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India was formed on April 4, 1978. Today, it administers 26 Science Centres/Museums spread all over India.

NCSM has developed its own Nationwide network of 26 Science Museums/Centres. Among 26 centres, divided into North, South, East, North East and West Zones, there are 6 National Level Centres namely Science City, Kolkata, Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata, Nehru Science Centre (NSC), Mumbai, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), Bengaluru, National Science Centre (NSC), Delhi and Central Research & Training Laboratory, Kolkata.

Nehru Science Centre has more than 500 hands-on and interactive science exhibits on energy, sound, kinematics, mechanics, transport, etc. installed in the science park & different galleries. The NSC building with its unique architecture houses several permanent science expositions on various themes.

Competition Details

National Council of Science Museums inviting all to join Waste to Art Initiative.

They are excited to announce our participation in the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign starting September 16, 2024, with a special focus on our Waste to Art initiative!

Following the success of last year’s program, recognized by the Ministry of Culture, we invite everyone to get creative and transform waste materials into unique art pieces.

The best works will be featured on our social media platforms!

Let’s come together to celebrate creativity and promote sustainability through art!

Guidelines

  • Create: Use waste materials at home to craft beautiful art.
  • Document: Take photos or videos of your creations.
