About CBSE

TheΒ Central Board of Secondary EducationΒ (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by theΒ Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow theΒ NCERTΒ curriculum especially from class 9 to 12. The current Chairperson of CBSE is Rahul Singh,Β IAS.

Training Details

In today’s world, digital connectivity has become an integral part of everyday life for it offers platforms for communication, collaboration, and self-expression. This brings safety concerns which need mitigation strategies to keep our teachers and students safe from its undesirable effects. In this context, the Central Institute of Educational Technology, NCERT is organizing a five hours training series in the month of October, 2024, on skills for safe use of Social Media as per schedule below:

The online training will be live telecast on YouTube channel and also be simulcast through PM eVidya channels #6-12. The participants, who appear in the post training quiz and score 70% and above, will be issued a certificate of participation by NCERT.
