The Compost Research and Education Foundation supports initiatives that enhance the stature and practices of the composting industry by supporting scientific research, increasing awareness, and educating practitioners and the public to advance environmentally and economically sustainable organics recycling.
The Foundationβs vision is to advance composting technologies, practices, and beneficial uses that support resource conservation and economic and environmental sustainability.
CREF was incorporated on June 9, 1992 in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) EIN#54-1627814. CREF is affiliated with the United States Composting Council (USCC) but is its own entity and financials and funding are separate.
Contest Details
This year, we have added a contest for ages 10 β 13 to design a bookmark to help celebrate ICAW. The winning design will be shared with volunteers and others across the country and help get the message out about the benefits of composting. The theme for the bookmark contest is βComposting in My Communityβ. The design should have something to do with compost. You do not have to write the theme on your bookmark. The theme will be added to the bottom of the winning bookmark design. The winner will receive a $100 gift card to Amazon.
Guidelines
- Bookmark must be 3βx 8β. Other sizes will not be accepted.
- You can draw your design on the paper template and submit it or you can design it another way, keeping it at 3βx 8β and submit that design as a jpg.
- Please note, AI generated designs will not be accepted.
- Must be ages 10 β 13 to enter.
