Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankardeva Viswavidyalaya, has been established in the year 2014. The university has been designed as a people’s university, as institution for the entire people of Assam, as well as India. G. L. Choudhury College is a co-educational Degree (UG) College of Arts and Science, affiliated to Bhattadev University, situated at the heart of Barpeta Road, Assam. The college was established on 16th March, 1990 with HS and UG programmes in Arts and later Science stream was introduced in 2021.
The college has completed two cycles of NAAC visit in 2024 with latest grade of ‘B+’ (CGPA 2.61). G. L. Choudhury College has a vision to be an ideal higher educational Institution to disseminate and to share all kinds of modern or contemporary Education. The aim of this seminar is to bring together the national academicians, researchers and students, both empirical and non-empirical original research work of high quality in different areas of Indian Knowledge System.
The objective of this programme is to upgrade the knowledge and skill of teachers, scholars and students in various disciplines with special focus on Sustainable Development through Indian Knowledge System.
