The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to introduce the National Credit Framework (NCrF) guidelines in its affiliated schools starting from the 2024-2025 academic session. This initiative marks a significant step towards promoting a more comprehensive and balanced approach to assessing students’ overall development and learning. With the NCrF, students will be evaluated not only on academic performance but also on their participation in extracurricular activities, life skills, and vocational education, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

In light of this, CBSE had earlier circulated details under Circular No. Skill-33/2024 (dated 9th April 2024) and Notification No. 67/2024 (dated 20th June 2024) to invite interested schools to be part of the pilot implementation of NCrF guidelines. Schools from classes VI, IX, and XI were invited to participate, and after a detailed review process, the list of selected schools has now been released.

To ensure that the selected schools receive proper guidance in implementing the NCrF guidelines effectively, CBSE is organizing a series of webinars. These webinars are designed to help educators and school administrators gain clarity on how to integrate the framework into their school systems and classrooms. The webinars will cover essential aspects of the NCrF, including:

The webinars are scheduled on the following dates and times:

Schools that have been selected for the pilot program will receive an email with the link to attend their respective webinar. This link will be sent to the email IDs provided during registration.

For any inquiries or feedback regarding the NCrF guidelines or the pilot implementation program, schools can contact Mr. R. P. Singh, Joint Secretary at CBSE, via email at rpsingh[at]cbseshiksha[dot]in.
