Schools have to nominate one Nodal Officer for CBSE Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya to attend the orientation sessions and events related to the application.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched an exciting new initiative aimed at fostering a love for reading among students – the Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya. This National Digital Library for Children and Adolescents, spearheaded by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, offers a treasure trove of high-quality books for free. Accessible through Android and iOS platforms, this digital toolkit is a game-changer for students, librarians, and teachers alike.
Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya is a comprehensive digital library designed to provide children and adolescents across India with access to a vast collection of books. These books are categorized by age groups (3-8, 8-11, 11-14, 14-18) and encompass a variety of genres including stories, biographies, classics, science fiction, and novels.
Schools are encouraged to nominate a Nodal Officer to attend these orientation sessions and help integrate the app into their daily routines.
The name and contact details of the Nodal Officer should be sent to rashtriyaepustakalaya[at]gmail[dot]com.
A dedicated helpline number, +91 9319703004, has been set up to assist schools with any queries regarding the application.
