Registrations are invited for the International Commerce Olympiad (ICO) 2023 by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) for class 11 and 12 students.
Established in 1998, Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is an educational foundation based in New Delhi, India. Through various Olympiads, it promotes science, mathematics, general knowledge, introductory computer education, social studies, professional skills, and English language skills among schoolchildren in India and many other countries.
The International Commerce Olympiad (IMO) is a commerce competition for class 11 and class 12 students. It is conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) with the aim of evaluating students’ commerce knowledge and comprehension. There is only one level for this olympiad:
SOF ICO will be conducted on three dates, as under. A school may select one date to conduct the SOF ICO at its convenience.
There are no specific eligibility criteria for the ICO exam 2023. Students studying in classes 11 and 12 are eligible to apply for the exam.
Students should register through their respective schools. Individual registrations by students are not accepted.
After filling out the complete SOF ICO form 2023, students have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 125 (including GST) to school authorities. No fee is payable for students with any major physical disability or a student whose parent was martyred during defence operations. Schools may take additional fees of Rs. 25 as an honorarium towards the teacher to guide students for the exam.
The SOF International Commerce Olympiad is conducted at only level only:
The level 1 competition is a test of 60 minutes duration comprising 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for classes 11 & 12.
The question paper consists of four sections:
SOF ICO is conducted on two dates for Level 1. Each school may select a date for conducting the SOF ICO at its convenience. There are separate question papers for each date of the exam. Change of date for conducting the SOF ICO is not permitted.
The medium of the test is English.
CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers.
The exam is conducted during school hours.

The syllabus of the Olympiads is the syllabus as prescribed by the CBSE, ICSE, and various state boards. If you sit for the second level and have moved on to the next class, the syllabus will remain the same (i.e. of the previous class).
